Song recorded by Jay Clarkson and The Containers in 2018 By Tom Bell. Mastered by Tex Houston.
JC & THE CONTAINERS
The Containers ar:e MIKE DOOLEY on DRUMS (Toy Love, Snapper, The Snares); ALAN HAIG on KEYBOARDS (The Chills, Snapper, David Kilgour & The Heavy 8s) JOHN WHITE on BASS (MeStar, The Blueness, various solo projects) PHOTO TO COME!
Jay Clarkson had been bandless for several years and 2017 finding herself in Waikouaiti (for good reasons) and Mike Dooley and bass player David Glynn respectively living within cooee distance it was perhaps only a matter of time that a band would happen… Alan Haig had emailed Jay that if she ever needed some keys she but needed to give him a yell and so when Dave nudged Jay to write a new song and this resulted in Wakey Wakey World said musicians rendezvoused. Doing music together, they discovered, was rather enjoyable and this has resulted in The Containers recording further new songs (EP to be available later in 2019) and doing occasional gigs.
With David Glynn moving to Wgtn in March 2019 to do the Vic Uni writing course a new bass player was sort. John White, recently returned from several months in Nepal, raised his hand and he is working out nice ‘n groovy.
